Welcome to the Western New Castle Republican Committee website! The WNCRC consists of the 13th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th Representative Districts. We encompass the Bear, Brookside, Christiana, Elsmere, Hockessin, Greater Newark, Newport, and Pike Creek areas. We believe in promoting the ideals of Freedom, Liberty and Opportunity across the state and specifically in our region.
Over 100 attended our annual brunch fundraiser on June 11th to hear Charlie Gerow talk about the legacy of Ronald Reagan. In addition to the many ticket and sponsorship sales, we had a very successful silent auction as well. The proceeds from this year's brunch will be channeled into our efforts to elect Republicans across our region in 2016. Thank you to all who helped to make it a success; and mark your calendars for the 5th Anniversary "Morning in America" on June 10, 2017.
At our October 26, 2015 meeting we conducted our election of region officers. The results were as follows:
Chairman: Mr. David W. Gilefski elected to a second term
Vice-Chairman: Dr. Kenneth James elected to a second term
Treasurer: Mrs. Genie Leake elected to a first term
The vote for each candidate was unanimous. Thank you to the many people who took the time to make the meeting and cast your vote.
At the 2015 State Convention a rule change to the party bylaws resulted in the transfer of the 13th RD from the Northern New Castle Region to the Western New Castle Region. This move was requested by the 13th RD and approved by both regions concerned. Please welcome our friends from Elsmere to our region!!
Well, he haven't moved that far. Beginning in February of 2015 we will be meeting at 360 College Sq. (just across the parking lot from our old location). Our first region meeting at the new address will be held on February 23rd. We hope to see you then!
